VOLUNTEER DAYS


farm landscape work day

september 24, 9:30 a.m.

AARCH will lead a farm landscape work day beginning at 9:30 a.m. on September 24 (weather permitting). The group will work on various landscape tasks, including some weeding and invasive plant removal. Wear sturdy shoes and a hat, and bring sunscreen, insect repellant, a water bottle and a lunch if desired. Any personal hand tools would be appreciated!

Trail Work day

November 8, 7 a.m.

Join Trail Steward David Hughes for a Work Day on the Newcomb Lake Loop Trail. We will meet at the Trailhead at 7 a.m. and begin with some trail brushing and maintenance. Expect to traverse some wet and muddy and areas, so appropriate footwear is critical. Dress for variable weather and bring plenty of snacks and water. We are in need of volunteers to assist with tours, to serve hot beverages to our visitors and to man our Gate Lodge Visitor Center.
